Who Will Win the Time Attack National Championship? Sport, Tuner, and Club Spec

This is it, folks, it’s the big one. More than a year after it was announced that SCCA® Time Attack drivers would battle for National Championship crowns in 2026, the event is finally here. Well, almost. The inaugural Tire Rack SCCA Time Attack National Championship is taking place Oct. 23-25, 2026, at Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, TX, which means there’s nothing left to do but wonder who will win.
I guess there’s more to do if you haven’t entered yet, because there’s still time to get your name on that entry list.
Today and tomorrow we’re going to pose the question of who will win, having you vote for who you think will win in each class. We’re not even going to muddy the waters by giving you our predictions…because we honestly have no idea.
Today, we’re going to look at the Sport, Tuner, and Club Spec classes, then tomorrow we’ll dive into the wild west of Max and Unlimited.
Sport and Tuner are two incredibly fun classes, since they involve cars with minimal modifications and they run at speeds well beyond what you’d think they should be able to attain.
Both limited to tires with a 200 UTQG rating or higher, Sport is intended for daily-driven street cars with simple bolt-on performance upgrades that include the likes of ECU reflashes, aftermarket wheels, fixed-perch shocks and springs, swaybars, intakes, and the like. Tuner takes it one step further with coilovers, camber plates, race springs, tunable swaybars, aftermarket ECUs, and big brake kits.
There are six classes within Sport and five in Tuner, with “1” being the fastest of each.
Today, we’re also looking at Club Spec, which includes Club Spec MX-5 and Club Spec Mustang. These spec classes are relatively new and have taken SCCA by storm with huge fields at the 2026 Tire Rack SCCA Solo National Championships. We’re expecting similarly tight competition at Time Trials Nats.
For the voting below, select one driver per class who you think will win, then submit. Next, scroll back up and click the “See previous responses” link. If you don’t like the results, refresh this article and vote again. Then repeat the voting process as many times as you’d like.
(Note that there’s a good chance not everyone will be listed in these polls, for multiple reasons. We’ve got good excuses, too: (1) numerous drivers still needed classing assistance when these polls were made, meaning we didn’t yet know which class they belonged to; and (2), we (obviously) assembled these polls prior to right now, meaning if someone entered the event between then and now, they would not appear in the polls. That’s how spacetime works.)
Now that you’ve got the gist, it’s time to vote…
