SCCA Targa 2026: Want Details? We’ve Got Them! Want a Tease? We’ve Got That Too!

SCCA Targa 2026: Want Details? We’ve Got Them! Want a Tease? We’ve Got That Too!

SCCA Targa in 2025 was a LOT of fun. We told you all about it in this article and this article, with Grassroots Motorsports also singing its praises. With a single event hitting four to five racetracks/motorsport facilities in as many days, transit challenges keeping teams busy in between, and participants looking for fun, SCCA Targa is a winning combination. Did you miss these events in 2025? Well good news, because SCCA Targa is back for 2026, with new tracks and new challenges – all that’s missing is you!

We’ll cut to the chase: We’re here to announce details for two SCCA Targa events that’ll take place in 2026, with more events in the works (ahh, there’s that tease).

The first of the two we’ve got details for will take you and your co-driver to Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri – this one’s called Targa Texas. Teams will meet on April 29 at Motorsport Ranch Cresson in Cresson, TX, to compete there – last year SCCA Targa saw this stop nearly washed out, so consider this a redo. Teams will hit the road that afternoon, headed 300 miles north to Hallett Motor Racing Circuit in Jennings, OK, for track time on April 30. Following that, it’s back on the freeway, this time eyeing Hedge Hollow Racetrack, some 260 miles north in Adrian, MO. From there, Targa treks back down to Texas, this time adventuring to Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, TX, to wrap the event on May 2.

Prefer the Great Lakes area? There’s Targa Great Lakes taking place the week of July 29-Aug. 1. On July 29, teams head to Blackhawk Farms Raceway in South Beloit, IL, followed by a double-header day on July 30 that puts drivers on track at Grattan Raceway Park in Belding, MI, and at Tire Rack’s headquarters in South Bend, IN. On July 31, South Haven, MI, is the place to be, and the racetrack everyone will be at is GingerMan Raceway. That week of SCCA Targa concludes on Aug. 1 on the other side of the lake, hitting up Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, IL, on Aug. 1.

As is par for every SCCA Targa adventure, teams will face multiple timed on-track opportunities (where both drivers are able to participate) and numerous transit stage challenges.

Here’s the rundown:

SCCA Targa Texas

  • April 29: MotorSport Ranch Cresson, Cresson, TX
  • April 30: Hallett Motor Racing Circuit, Jennings, OK
  • May 1: Hedge Hollow Racetrack, Adrian, MO
  • May 2: Eagles Canyon Raceway, Decatur, TX

SCCA Targa Great Lakes

  • July 29: Blackhawk Farms Raceway, South Beloit, IL
  • July 30: Grattan Raceway Park, Belding, MI
  • July 30: Tire Rack HQ, South Bend, IN
  • July 31: GingerMan Raceway, South Haven, MI
  • Aug. 1: Autobahn Country Club, Joliet, IL

Keep the Party Rolling

Both of these SCCA Targa experiences conclude at a Tire Rack SCCA Time Attack Challenge (May 2-3 will be at Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, TX; on Aug. 1-2, the Time Attack Challenge will be at Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, IL). All SCCA Targa teams will compete on those tracks on the Saturday as part of SCCA Targa, but teams are also encouraged to extend the fun through the weekend by entering the Time Attack Challenge itself.

Don’t think you’re ready for full-blow Tire Rack SCCA Time Attack Challenge competition? SCCA Targa events are a proven path to success. There’s zero doubt that if you participate in an SCCA Targa event, you’ll be ready to rock a Time Attack Challenge event come that weekend.

More to Come

Back to that tease: Two more SCCA Targa events are planned for 2026.

Another tease: Both will be on the East Coast.
