Time Attack Challenge Brings the Action to the West Coast with 2026 Multi-Event Series

The Tire Rack SCCA® Time Attack Challenge is no stranger to the West Coast, although it could hardly be considered a regular customer. In 2025, the Time Attack Challenge kicked off its eight-event series with a stop left of the Rockies – but that was it. Truth is, since the creation of the series (then called the Time Trials National Tour), with very few exceptions, there has only been one West Coast visit per year.

In 2026, though, it’s go time.

The 2026 Time Attack Challenge will feature a series of three West Coast events, with those competition weekends tied together with a points series of its own.

“The West Coast has some of the best racetracks in the nation, and in 2026, we’re going to hit three of them over the course of five months to really put drivers to the test,” said SCCA Time Trials Manager John Hunter. “Tying the West Coast events together with a multi-event points race adds a challenging element that will require drivers not only be fast, but also consistent.”

The West Coast Tire Rack SCCA Time Attack Challenge series will kick off in June with an event at Thunderhill Raceway Park in Willows, CA. These are early days, so the exact configuration (or configurations) is still being determined.

In August, drivers will converge on The Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton, WA, where they’ll attack the 2.47-mile, 16-turn track that boasts 300 feet of elevation which includes a 50-foot plunge through the Ridge Complex.

November will see the West Coast series head to Southern California for a weekend at Buttonwillow Raceway Park. There, Time Attack Challenge competitors will hit the Classic track, navigating the CW13 configuration that has become the de facto Time Attack layout.

“But that’s not all,” Hunter added. “All 2026 West Coast Time Attack Challenge events will also feature SUPERFLY car shows and will share the weekend with Global Time Attack. Between SUPERFLY and Global Time Attack, these West Coast Time Attack Challenge events will be among the best of the nationwide Time Attack Challenge series.”

The West Coast Tire Rack SCCA Time Attack Challenge events will also count toward the nationwide series points, meaning drivers can vie for multiple championships in one year if they so choose.

Specific event dates will be available soon.
