Awesome Results Database Launches for Time Trials National Tour

Whether you’re hunting for a racetrack’s fastest time or tracking your personal best, searchable event results are a must. In the past, Tire Rack SCCA Time Trials National Tour Powered by Hagerty participants wanting to log their personal best times or compare their times to those of others at the same track have been forced to pull up multiple sets of results on separate browser tabs, then flip back and forth to track their progress. Forget that mess! Now it can all be done with one simple search.

Thanks to some heavy data lifting on our end, drivers can now easily search for the fastest TrackAttack lap time for any car, class, or driver at past Time Trials National Tours or Time Trials Nationals.

“I am super excited to launch the records data on the Time Trials website,” said John Hunter, SCCA Manager of National Time Trials. “This is something we have been working on for some time, and I believe it is an instrumental piece for the overall direction of the program. We want to continue to lean more into personal bests, car, and class records, as that is what Time Trials is all about. The quest for that ultimate lap, however the participant chooses to frame it.”

Dig In

A vanity search of your name will undoubtedly be your first order of business with this database – but let’s get more advanced. Want to know how you stack up against your class competition at a particular track, regardless of the year the Time Trials National Tour took place? Type in the track and class name and you’ll be presented with a listing of all the drivers in that particular class at the racetrack you listed. Now let’s get crazy with the search.

Say you want to know the fastest Mustang driver at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta during a Time Trials National Tour, regardless of class or year – search for “Road Atlanta Mustang.” Congratulations Brian Sowders, you hold that record! Interested in further sorting that listing? Clicking the arrows at the top of each column allows for sorting by year of the event, track name, driver name, car year, make, model, class, and lap time. You could even add “2022” to the beginning of the search field to pull up the results for only that year’s event.

Want to know if anyone’s been silly (or awesome) enough to compete at a Time Trials National Tour in a Pontiac Fiero? With this database, that’s now a fantastically easy task.
