Nov 2024 Fastrack
The Nov 2024 Fastrack is out, and it details the following:
Member Advisories:
- 2025 Rule and Classing adjustments that have been sent to the BoD for approval
- Sport
- Alignment Kits
- To help keep alignments from moving under the extreme loads created on track.
- Alignment Kits
- Tuner
- Alternate Motorsport Classing wording regarding SCCA Solo ST classing allowance
- Reasoning for adjustment: There were multiple cars that could use the allowance to run in Tuner with larger tire sizes than otherwise allowed. This change will address that issue.
- Transverse leaf spring to coilover allowance
- Reasoning for allowance: Allows any vehicle using a transverse leaf spring setup to move to a more contemporary coilover system. Also, many vehicles (Corvettes) were already doing this using the Solo ST Alternate Motorsport Classing allowance.
- Limited spherical bushing allowance
- While Tuner has always allowed "alignment kits" consisting of adjustable arms, those options have increasingly come with a spherical vs a standard style bushing. Our intent with this change is to continue to have this be a viable option/modification for our participants by understanding market trends/options while weighing the effect of any allowance on drivability and durability.
